Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actress and musician well-known for her work in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian origin. She was the daughter of a Madras High Court attorney. There is a younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah comes born in Chennai. She attended National Public School, and after that, she graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play classical piano in her eighth year. At age 10 she was a part of a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first singing and music composing career. Also, she was a theatre performer in the college she attended and performed in a variety of performances staged through The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea was head of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's acting career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She starred in a new leo advertisement alongside actor Shiva. She also acted on Podhigai Channel, a television show. She has performed throughout India. She was in a small role during the climax of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). When she sang a tune in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu she was asked to appear as the main female character in his next film Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani the wife who's husband is involved in an extramarital affair. Andrea got the part of Kalyani after Simran Shobana Tabu and others were offered the role. The film was released in the early part of 2010. It was first released in the film of Venkat Mankatha in 2011 that starred several actors. In 2013, she began her career in Malayalam cinema by playing Rajeeev Ravi's romance movie, Annayum Rasoolum.
