Kelly Clarkson, an American singer-songwriter and actress who won the American Idol competition in its debut season, and became America's Sweetheart. It was not just the win that catapulted Kelly Clarkson to fame as it also secured her an agreement in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for a series of albums. Since then, she has recorded numerous recordings from her studio. Three albums have topped the US Billboard 200 charts while other albums were just one or two inches away. She was among the most popular performers on American Idol. She tried her hand at success with various themes and musical style, and often wrote the songs herself. Due to her distinctness and ability as a performer, she was praised by reviewers and was awarded a couple of notable awards. She was awarded the Grammy Award is her most prestigious recognition. In addition to her musical professional career, she has had a stint in TV and film. She also co-wrote the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with a number of charities.
