tatyana aliTatyana Marisol Ali (born January 24 1979) is an American singer and actress best known for her role as Ashley Banks on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 1990 until 1996. Tyana Jones, her TV One character, was her first TV show. Ali also played the role of Roxanne in the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. Ali at the age of six old, started her acting career in the year 1985 by performing regularly on the PBS children's education program Sesame Street. The show also featured an appearance by jazz legend Herbie Hancock who demonstrated his Fairlight CMI synthesizer with a sample Ali's vocal. Star Search featured her on two episodes.
